            The Denver Broncos opened the 2026 NFL season with a brutal 31-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs β€” and now there are A LOT of questions surrounding Sean Payton's team.

            After reaching the AFC Championship Game last season, expectations were sky-high in Denver. Instead, the Broncos were dominated on Monday Night Football as Kansas City controlled the game from start to finish.

            The Broncos managed just 176 total yards, while the Chiefs ran for 220 yards. Bo Nix finished with 131 passing yards, one touchdown and an interception while taking four sacks. Meanwhile, Kansas City's Kenneth Walker III exploded for 173 rushing yards and two touchdowns in his Chiefs debut.

            Denver's offense never found a rhythm, the running game couldn't get going, the offensive line struggled and new play-caller Davis Webb's first game in the role raised plenty of questions.
