On this episode of the Main Point Jonathan, Jeff, Blake, and our Minister of Congregational Care, Katrina Redman discuss Sunday's sermon on denying yourself.  The text was from Luke 9.23-24, and the group talk about what Jesus meant with this "hard teaching."  What does it mean to deny ourselves and is it a spiritual gift or a discipline? Is North-American Christianity compatible with the idea of self-denial, and if so, what does that look like?  How can the idea of "actively dying" in our physical lives inform our understanding of what it means to die daily to self?
