If anyone desires to follow Christ they must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Christ. We must disregard ourselves and our sinful disposition that wants to rule us! We must act with diligence and abandon the old ways and disown ourselves. No matter how religious a person may be it is not until a person truly denies themselves and puts their faith in Jesus Christ that they can be a Christian.
