The Missing Piece in Recovery: What Surviving Diverticulitis, Colon Surgery, and Necrotizing MRSA Taught Me About the Gaps in Modern Medicine
Danae De Guelle is the founder of Living Proof Protocols. After losing part of her colon to diverticulitis and later surviving necrotizing MRSA, Danae began asking deeper questions about why so many patients struggle to recover fully after serious infections and surgery. Through her own experience navigating repeated antibiotics, surgeries, and complications, she discovered critical gaps between traditional medical care and the nutritional, immune, and systemic factors that influence healing.
She shares her story and insights to help patients and practitioners think differently about immune resilience, gut health, and preparing the body before and after surgery.
