Just marvelous, witty and engaging

I've been a member of a German bookclub at the Goethe Institute for a couple of years now, and Rammstedt's Der Kaiser Von China remains one of my favorite selections. It won the prestigious Ingeborg Bachmann Prize. One review in English described as "light and fluffy on the surface and rich on the inside, like an inverted Milky Way".

Someone should really translate it into English.
