Ron DeSantis, who is expected to seek the GOP nomination for president in 2024, stated on Monday that continued support from the USA for Ukraine is not a 'vital' national interest. Pushback from GOP leaders was swift and strong. Senator Lindsey Graham compared DeSantis's comments to Neville Chamberlain, who was England's prime minister who failed to do anything about Hitler's advances in Europe in the late 1930's. So the question may be, Are DeSantis's comments about Ukraine an attempt to attract Trump's MAGA voters or is this really his position?
