Hello All, in this episode we will continue to examine the interchangeability between the term 'elder,' and 'bishop.' From this we will see that one pertains more to character (elder), and the other more to the office (bishop), but that the two words were rarely used in one verse, thus inferring the sameness in quality and function. This is important when we look at the 5 fold offices of ministry as we will notice that 'elder,' or 'bishop' was not mentioned, but as the two terms share functions and responsibilities with that of a 'pastor,' which in turn means 'overseer,' then we can also gather that by including one of these, all three are meant to follow. Forgetting the titles, how much overseeing are we under in our Church, and how much if appointed by God are we willing to oversee?
