Describing Textured Sound, with Kale Brown

Listen Later

Hey everybody! We're stoked to bring you our first episode with a guest! We are joined by an incredibly talented sonic wizard, Kale Brown! Kale is an audio engineer, multi-instrumentalist, instrument craftsman, and an all around kick-ass dude. You can find Kale's built guitars and basses on IG @radnorguitars.
In this episode, we discuss descriptions of sound in terms of adjectives. What are the formal textures of sound? How does texture and emotion add more meaning to sound? How can we encourage others to look out for these textures in their favorite pieces of music. Other topics include found sound, synesthesia, music production, and the universality of music!
We hope you enjoy and as always, thank you for listening! Keep in touch with us on IG @conjectureandlecture and on email via [email protected]
