Destiny of Souls is a fascinating look into conversations between Dr. Newton, who is a past life regressionist specializing in spiritual hypnotherapy, and his clients. This book follows his ground-breaking first volume, Journey of Souls, that explores essentially the same question, “What do souls do between lives?” If you are curious, as was I, the dearly departed aren’t exactly resting in peace.

The format for this book is a large part Q & A, with “Dr. N” asking probing questions of his subjects while they are under hypnosis. It’s not unlike the work of Delores Cannon, except that Cannon drops her subjects into a past life from a cloud and Dr. N. usually begins his interviews in the moments that the subject is departing the planet and moving into the other planes.

I purchased the Kindle version of this book, but I found myself yearning for a physical copy, so that I could more easily flip around and revisit some of the ideas. 

Once I started to dip into Destiny of Souls, I found it hard to put down. It was so fascinating to think about stepping into this “next world” of being in spirit and how that is a school for our continued learning and development, as well as a time for processing experiences and lessons from the past life.  I learned that each person has an assigned guide or guides to help them through the lifetime. The guide is more like a personal guru than a guardian angel. Newton says they are “personal teachers, beings who have incarnated in physical form long before graduating to the level of guides.” 

Having a spiritual guru beneath an ascended master but wiser than me, is an exciting idea. But there’s more if we go further up the wisdom hierarchy...
