One of the biggest problems we face is thinking that riches, talent, wealth and popularity will make them happy.
I get it. Culture teaches that to be happy you must be successful according to the standards of the society.
But think about this for a moment...
Think about being the richest man alive but being the only man alive. How important would money be in this scenario?
Consider all the celebrities who died by overdose or suicide. How many of them had an abundance of riches, talent, wealth and popularity?
Lastly, consider if you had all the popularity in the world but lost your sanity. Describe how that fame would not be that significant.
I think these questions really put things into perspective and will give clarity about the things that really matter in life.
