Syed Raza Bashir is a PhD Candidate in computer science from Toronto, Canada. He has over 20 years of experience in the teaching and software industry. He is currently working as a Professor in Sheridan College and working as Scientific Managing Editor in Computer Science at Elsevier. He also completed certifications; Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Azure Administration and ITIL. He is also working as Supervisor for Capstone Projects. His areas of interest include machine learning, deep neural networks, and Software engineering. He has spent a significant amount of time in detecting fake points of interest (POI) in Google maps and then recommending those fake free POI’s to users. He also published a number of papers in this area.
