The Modern Cop

Detective Moses Castillo, LAPD (ret.)

Listen Later

Growing up in California, I wanted to be an LAPD homicide detective. While I decided to stay in Arizona to pursue my career, there has always been a certain magnetism drawing me toward that storied agency. Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with retired LAPD Detective Moses Castillo, who spent 30 years with the Los Angeles Police Department. During that time, he worked patrol and CRASH, but he spent the majority of his career as a detective investigating sex crimes, and crimes against children, to include child homicide.

Moses also helped me understand the frustrations experienced by the LAPD due to the philosophies of District Attorney George Gascon as well as LAPD Chief Moore.

Moses now continues his righteous fight for justice as an attorney specializing in working with sexual assault victims for the D Law Group in California. Visit DetectiveMoses.com for more information. You can also find Moses on Instagram @detectivemosescastillo and listen to his podcast The Blue Line on KABC-AM790 and on all major podcast sites!
