In 1978 Ohio, high schoolers Hawk (Edward Furlong), Jam (Sam Huntington), Lex (Giuseppe Andrews), and Tripp (James Debello) are the ultimate KISS fans despite the popularity of disco and the objections of their parents. The four have tickets to the next big concert in Detroit, but Jam's mother burns the tickets. They'll do anything to see KISS perform live and embark on the trip anyway.
