Mikie Mahtook is a product of LSU and continues to wear the "Tigers" across his chest. Mikie now plays for the Detroit organization and continues to excel in life.
After being selected 31st overall in the 2011 MLB draft, Mikie reached the major leagues in 2015 with the Tampa Bay Rays. After some ups and downs and a trade to the Detroit Tigers, Mikie has been focused on personal growth and becoming the best version of himself.
Always one of the hardest working and most passionate players, Mikie is no different off the field. After losing his father suddenly from a heart condition, Mikie and his family have made it their mission to help educate and raise awareness surrounding heart health.
The Mikie Mahtook foundation was started immediately after Mikie was drafted and has done an incredible job on the local level around Louisiana. This offseason, Mikie and his team plan to rebuild and expand the efforts he is putting into the philanthropic journey and is excited to talk about it.
