The aftermath of devastating flooding across North Carolina and South Carolina continues tonight after impacts from Helene.
Flash flood emergencies and evacuation orders remain in place as dangerously-high water levels continue to threaten communities. The threat is especially high on this Friday in western North Carolina, where some of the highest rainfall totals were observed.
