John 15:15 (KJV) "Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."

In the kingdom of God, there is a difference between being a servant and being a friend of Jesus. A servant carries out instructions without necessarily understanding the heart of the Master or the reason behind the command. However, intimacy with Jesus elevates a believer into the inner circle of friendship, where the secrets of the Father’s heart are shared. Without intimacy, you may have religion, but you will lack the swift and speedy intelligence needed to navigate life successfully.

Intimacy is not an overnight achievement; it is a pursuit that requires the deliberate removal of every distraction. When you choose to pursue intimacy, you are moving from the outer court of general blessings into the inner chamber of revelation. A friend of Jesus is never in the dark about the season they are in, because the Lord Jesus shares His plans with those who stay close to His side.

Today, lift your head high and refuse to be intimidated by the threats of the adversary. Know that the Lord is fighting for you, and He is dealing with every opposition with supernatural speed because of your relationship with Him. As you commune with Him throughout the day, expect Him to respond by the Spirit, causing years of loss to be swallowed up in a single day of divine visitation.
