Getting dumber from smart phones.  Rousseau teaches that we should teach things slowly, and that by employing machines outside our body we don’t develop the machines within.  I mention productivity guru Cal Newport’s suggestion to take everything “interesting” off your phone; I took YouTube off my phone.
