“If you think tough men are dangerous, wait until you see what weak men are capable of.” - Jordan Petersen
In the last few years, there is a lot of discussion and criticism surrounding masculinity and its impact on society, and it doesn't appear to be slowing down.
But as this quote by Dr. Peterson clearly expresses, it is weak men that pose the greatest threat to themselves and those around them. Yes, there has been a great deal of damage done by men throughout history, but a lot of the negative impact is from masculine drives gone astray, remaining unrealised or released positively and not actually from strong masculine men.
We need to work to be men who use their masculinity to protect, provide and lead, and use this energy and strength that has been the driving force behind countless acts of bravery and heroism. It is still crystal clear that the day-to-day actions, words, and attitudes of men who have learned to harness their masculinity and have the strength of character to wield it for good, are raising strong sons and daughters and being husbands who provide the platform for their families and communities to thrive.
In the hands of a man of true strength, masculinity can never be toxic. What people call toxic masculinity is simply weakness disguised as strength.
