The guys talk game preview as the Bruins come to town, with Adam spotlighting the Devils league best Power Play against the Bruins top shelf Penalty Kill.

Beyond the Special Teams play, and notable key defenseman, the guys discuss Timo Meier, who has been underwhelming thus far for New Jersey.

A player who is meant to be a steady hand, and physical play creator, Timo will find himself on the Right Wing with Jack Hughes looking for a spark as the mid-season review approaches.

The Brother's Hughes did not disappoint. While it took Quinn a bit longer, in the end all three siblings, sharing the NHL ice together for the first time, succeeded on the Tuesday Night game.

The Devils provided a explosive four goal first period, but in true 2023 fashion found themselves tied 5-5 late in the third period. Jesper Bratt sealed the win with his second goal of the night, but in the end it was Vitek Vanecek that took thee spotlight once again.

Average in the first, strong in the second and a meltdown in the third. The inconsistent play between the pipes continues to be a concern for the Devils.

The guys look at the poor play of Vitek Vanecek, and why Akira Schmid needs to given a chance in the starting role.

Fans seem to want to go after Lindy Ruff, which brings the question, what game are we watching? With stability coming to the defense, and Nico Hischier guiding the squad back on course, it is only between the pipes where the very real concerns should be.

The guys look back at tthe Rangers loss, and what went wrong late. Jack Hughes is back, but the Devils will now be without the steadying presence of Timo Meier.

In a rocky start to the 2023 season, the next six games represent, on paper, a stretch where New Jersey can get a few wins under their belt - and push off the narrative that this team is in the first phase of a letdown year.

The guys look at the sustainability of the Devils offense without Jack Hughes. The loss of Nico Hischier may actually be amplified now as well, as his stead board play has proven critical to consistency in the offensive zone.

For the second straight game Jack Hughes and the high flying offense looked great... once they got going. On a back-to-back opening the season, the Devils struggled to find there offensive rhythm, and even with Akira Schmid playing excellent - found themselves down 2-0 in the second period.

A chaotic 20-minute session filled with seven total penalties and three Devils goals thrust them into a third period lead.

But with all but one defenseman spending time in the Penalty Box Neew Jersey coughed up the lead, and following OT, the Win went to the Yotes on a Penalty Shootout.

For a young team, with championship goals, consistent and penatly free hockey needs to be the cornerstone of their success.
