One of my kids said all he wanted for Christmas was: Peace and and happiness.Whether you're giving gifts during Christmas, a birthday or a special occasion, there's nothing more satisfying than to see the receiver open the fit and express joy when they've unwrap their gift. Jesus said to his disciples to ask anything in His name, that their joy may be full -- the very fact that Jesus intercedes on our behalf should give us joy! The very fact that we can go to our Heavenly Father, the creator of the universe, the God of all things, all creatures, great and small -- should bring us joy. That's what God wants. When a child comes to their father, their mother, their parents, like when my grandbabies come to me with outstretched arms, it bring me great joy. Why? Because knowing they trust me, love me, find comfort in me, feel secure with me -- brings me great joy. That's what God wants -- for each of us to come to Him knowing we can find comfort in Him, security in Him, peace and joy in Him. When we receive Jesus into our lives we can find joy in Him. That's so beautiful! It's my prayer for you to find love, joy, and peace in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
