By Annie TalksPsalm 132:8Arise, Lord, to your resting place. You and the ark of your strength. In this verse, David celebrated because the Ark of the Covenant was back in his possession -- in its rightful place. The Ark of the Covenant meant the Presence of God. When I was growing up, we attended a Catholic church almost every Sunday. As far as I remember, I did not mind going or I do not remember complaining about going. I may not have understood it, or I did not understand the meaning of Communion or why we knelt sometimes, why we sat sometimes, why we stood up for certain readings, etc. I just knew we went to church physically because that was the time to talk to God. But we did not talk directly to God, we talked to Him through statues of Saints. We recited paragraphs or we responded with verses. I was intrigued even then about God at such a young age. While attending junior high school, a few kids from the local high school came to our campus to lead a FELLOWSHIP. I had no idea what a fellowship was, but I wanted to know more. It was then I learned that God is everywhere. You can talk directly to God. What? That completely blew my mind. Then a few weeks later the high school kids started talking about Jesus and how Jesus, God's only son died for me, you, and us on the cross for our sins. Now all of sudden, the only Jesus I knew about who was the Jesus I saw in church every Sunday hanging on that cross -- now made much more sense to me! When I invited Jesus into my life as my Lord and Savior, I thought, "What a beautiful feeling to know that the presence of God was now living inside me; and that my body, my heart, and my soul was now God's dwelling place -- and that I could access God at any time!" Going to church is still a weekly thing for me -- but it is also a place to gather with other Christians, other brothers and sisters in Christ, to come together and worship God together, learn about God together, pray for one another, have Communion together as we remember God's greatest gift to us -- His son Jesus who gave up His life for all of us. Having the presence of God living within me gives me supernatural strength knowing God is with me, walking with me, going through EVERYTHING with me. I can access God anytime, pray anytime, call upon the name of Jesus anytime, and the Holy Spirit is with me guiding me, ordering my steps, helping me make wise decisions. Those are the reasons to celebrate, reasons to dance like David -- like no one is watching!I pray that you can celebrate and honor your relationship with God everyday in Jesus' mighty and matchless name, Amen!God is ON AIR and so are we!#walkandtalkfaith #walkandtalkfaithpodcast #wtfpodcast #GodIsOnTheAir~~~~For business purposes, please email us at [email protected]~~~~Music CreditSong: SeasonsArtist: TelecastedYouTube Audio Library
