Enduring Word says this about Psalm 55:6 NLT: David wished he could just escape his terror-filled situation and remain in the wilderness. This likely happened after David took the throne - and with all the pressure of becoming king, David just wanted to go back to simpler days when he would be carefree and sought God's presence in the wilderness. What is your "terror-filled situation"? It may just be the pressures of everyday life. We all just need those slow-down days where we can just rest in God's presence to refresh for the upcoming week, or refresh for what God has in store for you in your near future.
