Is devotion a switch which gets flicked on, or is it a slow process of unfolding mandates by which individuals begin defining themselves, if not living their lives according to? To that end, where do religions, myths, and spiritual traditions come from? Was devotion as we know it today baked into them at the time of their creation? Or is our present day devotion a product of time and entropy? That is, is it just devo(lu)tion?
