In this message, we look at the prayer culture of the New Testament church found in the book of Acts. In chapters 1-2, we read that Jesus ordered the apostles to wait and to pray, until they received the promise of the Holy Spirit. Having obeyed the instruction of Jesus, the Holy Spirit fell upon the early church on the day of Pentecost enabling them to fulfill the mandate of preaching the gospel. In the same manner, we also need to learn how to wait on God in prayer as we receive the power to become His witnesses.
