Fasting can be a complicated topic. At points in history, it was very common place while during others it was a forgotten discipline. Today, fasting has experienced a revival of interest broadly, but as Christians we need to carefully understand the true purpose of the Christian Discipline of Fasting in order to do it in a spiritually beneficial way.
