We focus on the last half of Colossians 3:16 today: "Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." When we sing hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in our heart towards God, everything changes. When we're grateful to Him for all that He's done, our wishlist seems puny in comparison. And when we behold His glory and we reflect back to Him how awesome He is, by stark juxtaposition, the challenges that assail us become miniscule. Not because they're diminished or unimportant, but because of how big God is.
