Penn State will be without the services of Defensive Tackle Alonzo Ford Jr, a transfer from ODU who is out for the season due to injury.  Ford was expected to see time as a rotational player along the defensive line for the Nittany Lions.

Washington has suspended freshman defensive back Diesel Gordon indefinitely.  When questioned about the issue Head Coach Kalen Deboer said the issues “were serious enough” to warrant a suspension and that he didn’t feel the freshman was being accountable.  Gordon was a 3-star recruit from Texas and was expected to provide depth for the Huskies' defensive backfield this season.

There is speculation that Apple may try and purchase ESPN from Disney.  Disney purchased ESPN for $19 billion in 1996.  Expectations are that it would sell for 3 times that currently.
