Doug and James are back to discuss their NFL DFS cash game options for week 5 on FanDuel and DraftKings. As the season progresses, we are seeing some interesting trends beginning to form at the various positions, and the guys wind up with lots to talk about.
DFSR has something of a crisis at quarterback this week, pitting reliable now-expensive option Lamar Jackson against the cheap and unreliable Andy Dalton. The devil is in the match-up, of course, where Dalton gets the incredibly fast-paced Cardinals and Jackson has to contend with a revitalized Steelers defense. The big question is how much the savings matter, so let's look at some other positions.
Running back starts and stops with Christian McCaffrey, who is leading running backs in both rushing opportunities and targets. The big question will come down to whom to pair with him. Do we roll it back with Leonard Fournette, now that we know what his touches look like in a favorable game-script? How do we pick between Cook and Kamara at identical prices? The guys break it all down.
It looks like DFSR is paying down at wide receiver this week, but Doug and James get into a big discussion about what has happened to the expensive wide receivers this season. Has it been a case of collective run bad, or is the league adjusting? Doug winds up making a strong case for DeAndre Hopkins as a potential sleeper, and the guys discuss how to fill out your lineups with mid-tier wide receivers after that.
