As a staunch advocate for indigenous women and girls, she recommends checking out the Sovereign Bodies Institute database, which is the first comprehensive and thorough database used to monitor cases of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). Half of all proceeds from Kara's painting sales are donated to the Sovereign Bodies Institute.
