For lack of a better way to put it, if you're a young gun trying to make it staffing/agency recruiting/headhunting to get new clients signed up, for the love of everything that's holy, DO NOT SELL TO HR PEOPLE.

They are NOT your friend.

They are NOT on your side.

They do not CARE about you/your livelihood and they'll get in the way.

The only person you should be building relationships with are the HIRING MANAGERS IN YOUR CHOSEN FIELD OF SPECIALISM.

These are the golden gooses.

These are your actual clients.

Find them, build relationships with them, and have them GET YOU IN THERE.
