Welcome to Diabetes My Way With Joe Aldridge. 

Since 1969 Joe has been living with Type 1 Diabetes and this podcast tells of his journey through his life in dealing with this challenge from a time when there was very little known about diabetes and the prognosis for people with Type 1 diabetes was not good.

In fact at the time he was diagnosed his family was told that his life expectancy was about 25 years.

Now after 55 plus years of living with Type 1 diabetes Joe is sharing his journey through all the changes he has experienced, in how treatments are given, changes in insulin quality, the increase in diagnosis for Type 1 and more frequently Type 2 diabetes and finally the overall approach of the for profit medical business, including some ideas on why there is still no cure.

The goal is to share insight and some positive thoughts for anyone of the estimated 537 million people around the world living with some form of diabetes and to help them play the game and win.
