Being Bookish

Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Sutanto

Listen Later

You know how much I love cosy crime, so I thought that after almost 3 months I would take a trip down memory lane and remind you why this is a genre I think you may enjoy. This week I am taking a look at the first cosy crime novel by author Jesse Sutanto, Dial A for Aunties. It's a fun jaunt with a sort of 1980s Weekend at Bernie's twist. There are jewel heists, a dead body in a cooler, 4 incredible Indo-Chinese aunties who would do anything for their family and a woman who suddenly reunites with the love of her life at what could be legitimately the wedding from hell. So, find out what I thought of this novel brought to you by the author who wrote Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers. How did I like it!?
