Mississippi State simply had to get a win on Thursday and they did. It took a pair of runs in the bottom of the 9th to do it, but State came through.

The Bulldogs had control of the game during the early innings, but had a tough inning that allowed the Tigers to take a 5-3 lead. State did not quit and found a way to win the end.

Now, State will look to take the series on Saturday and keep their hopes alive for a three-game sweep
