Saint Agnes' Garden is a story of an eleven-year-old Jodie Sealy, who aspires to be a nun because as to what she believes, the only perfect women on earth are those who vowed to live a religious life. The story chronicles the circumstances that brought her to Terre Haute, Indiana, and in her new, strange home, she discovers how difficult it is to navigate the early years of adolescence. However, she constantly feels the love of the Lord through her patient mother, supportive friends, and understanding teachers. Through these, her journey is made easier, and she finally realizes what it is that she is meant to become.
