On a special Mother’s Day episode, Diari Mummy caught up with Fatimah Sawifi, one of the  famed Sawifi siblings, who graced our television screens when they were younger. She shares how she juggles a full time job with being a mum, why adaptability is key in managing expectations and setting boundaries for herself and her children and how a leisurely family bonding activity became something much more meaningful.

Fatimah is a mother of five children, four of whom are currently pursuing their education at tertiary level. As a working mum, she feels that time spent with the children is extremely precious and valuable. As such, she and her husband feel that spending quality time with each child is extremely important in building a strong parent child relationship. 

A familiar face in the Malay entertainment scene in her youth, she shares how the characters she portrayed in dramas impacted and shaped her parenting style. She is also grateful to her extended family, especially her own mother and siblings, for their help in creating a positive environment to raise the children.
