TRIGGER WARNING: This is a clip from the audio diary I kept when I began the healing process after being assaulted by a drunken lover. The recording is of me on December 4, 2018. My emotions were all over the place. I was so confused and rambling; some of it doesn't even make sense. This is real, raw and filled with emotions. I can't make this shit up! There are so many layers in this clip. I was hurting from the abused I had experienced and baffled by the way the police handled the situation, allowing my abuser to be go without penalty. Nothing was done to the officer and I was left to pick up the pieces of my life. I just wanted to be heard and I still do. That is why I am dedicated to using my platform to shed light on domestic violence and abuse. We have to stop this!
