December 19: The best day of your life.
Psalm 117:1-2:
Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 118:14-29:
The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation
is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted;
the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The Lord has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death. Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I will go through them, and I will praise the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord, through which the righteous shall enter. I will praise You, for You have answered me, and have become my salvation. The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. God is the Lord, and He has given us light; bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
The first Psalm 117 is the shortest in the Bible and appears to be located in the middle of the entire Bible.
But this psalm is not only special because of this data, it is also a psalm that, despite being composed of only two verses, speaks one of the most important truths and revelations of God's plan for humanity. The writer of this psalm was prophesying in the first verse that all nations will worship the Lord.
This is very relevant, especially since the people of Israel were aware of being God's chosen people among all the nations of the world.
This topic is very important in order to understand the whole plan of God with humanity.
The people of Israel knew that they were called by God and chosen in a special way. The Lord continually reminded them through the prophets that God had chosen them, not because they were a great and powerful nation, but because he chose them out of love, even though they were small and weak people. God did it because He wanted to magnify them and bless them above all other nations.
Still we notice that the psalmist saw the other nations, the Gentiles, the non-Jews worshiping God. The apostle Paul used this psalm to teach that salvation and the privilege of entering the presence of God is not only for the Jews, but that God also calls everyone who invokes the name of Jesus, regardless of their nationality or descent. .
We can also read what the apostle John wrote in his gospel about this moment when the door of salvation was opened to the whole world at the moment when Jesus the Messiah came to this world, in John 1:12-13: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
The 118 is a psalm that when you read it you will realize that it is a psalm full of explosions of joy with declarations of gratitude to the Lord.
The psalmist confesses that he went through a difficult time because God made him go through the test to correct him, and he thought that death would come but then God gave him life, made him wiser when he went through the test and gave him a new opportunity to adore Him.
This psalm is very important because it reveals the arrival of the Messiah to the world, He is represented by the main stone of a building, and it is the prophecy that Jesus would be rejected by His people, but would be the key piece for the salvation of the world.
Therefore, everyone who receives the message of salvation and understands that the Savior of the world is Jesus Christ and accepts Him as their Savior and Lord, will keep that day as the most important day in their life because it was when they received forgiveness and eternal life for their soul; it is the moment where the person could understand that the source of blessing is Jesus Christ. That is why the person expresses that: "This is the day that the Lord has made! We will rejoice and be glad in it."

El SEÑOR es mi fortaleza y mi canción; él es mi salvación. ¡Voz de júbilo y de salvación hay en las moradas de los justos! ¡La diestra del SEÑOR hace proezas! ¡La diestra del SEÑOR está levantada, en alto! ¡La diestra del SEÑOR hace proezas! No moriré, sino que viviré y contaré las obras del SEÑOR. Duramente me castigó el SEÑOR pero no me entregó a la muerte. ¡Ábranme las puertas de la justicia! Entraré por ellas y daré gracias al SEÑOR. Esta es la puerta del SEÑOR; por ella entrarán los justos. Te daré gracias porque me has respondido y has sido mi salvación. La piedra que desecharon los edificadores ha venido a ser la principal del ángulo. De parte del SEÑOR es esto; es una maravilla a nuestros ojos. Este es el día que hizo el SEÑOR; nos gozaremos y nos alegraremos en él. ¡Oh SEÑOR, sálvanos, por favor! ¡Oh SEÑOR, haznos prosperar! ¡Bendito el que viene en el nombre del SEÑOR! Pero este salmo no solo es especial por este dato, también es un salmo que, a pesar de estar compuesto por solo dos versos, habla una de las verdades y de las revelaciones más importantes del plan de Dios para la humanidad. El escritor de este salmo estaba profetizando en el primer verso que todas las naciones adorarán al Señor.
Esto es muy relevante, especialmente porque el pueblo de Israel era consciente de ser el pueblo escogido por Dios entre todas las naciones del mundo.
Este tema es muy importante para poder entender todo el plan de Dios con la humanidad.
El pueblo de Israel sabía que eran llamados por Dios y elegidos de forma especial. El Señor les recordaba continuamente por medio de los profetas que Dios los había escogido, no por ser una nación grande y poderosa sino que los escogió a ellos por amor, a pesar de que eran un pueblo pequeño y débil. Dios lo hacía porque quería engrandecerlos y bendecirlos sobre todas las demás naciones.
Aún así notamos que el salmista veía a las demás naciones, a los gentiles, a los no judíos adorando a Dios. El Señor les recordaba continuamente por medio de los profetas que Dios los había escogido, no por ser una nación grande y poderosa sino que los escogió a ellos por amor, a pesar de que eran un pueblo pequeño y débil. Dios lo hacía porque quería engrandecerlos y bendecirlos sobre todas las demás naciones.
Aún así notamos que el salmista veía a las demás naciones, a los gentiles, a los no judíos adorando a Dios. El apóstol Pablo usaba este salmo para enseñar que la salvación y el privilegio de entrar a la presencia de Dios no solamente es para los judíos, sino que Dios también llama a todo aquel que invoque el nombre de Jesús, no importando su nacionalidad ni su descendencia.
También podemos leer lo que el apóstol Juan escribió en su evangelio acerca de este momento cuando la puerta de salvación se abrió al mundo entero en el momento en que Jesús el Mesías vino a este mundo, en Juan 1:12-13: “Pero a todos los que lo recibieron, a los que creen en su nombre, les dio derecho de ser hechos hijos de Dios, los cuales nacieron no de sangre ni de la voluntad de la carne ni de la voluntad de varón sino de Dios.”
El 118 es un salmo que cuando lo lees te darás cuenta que es un salmo lleno de explosiones de alegría con declaraciones de agradecimiento al Señor.
El salmista confiesa que pasó por un momento difícil porque Dios lo hizo pasar por la prueba para corregirlo, y él pensó que la muerte llegaría pero después Dios le dió la vida, lo hizo más sabio cuando pasó por la prueba y le dió una nueva oportunidad para adorarle.
Este salmo es muy importante porque revela la llegada del Mesías al mundo, es representado por la Piedra principal de una edificación, y es la profecía de que Jesús sería rechazado por su pueblo, pero sería la pieza clave para la salvación del mundo.
Por eso, todo aquel, que recibe el mensaje de salvación y entiende que el Salvador del mundo es Jesucristo y lo acepta como su Salvador y Señor, va a guardar ese día como el día más importante en su vida porque fue cuando recibió el perdón y la vida eterna para su alma; es el momento donde la persona pudo entender que la fuente de bendición es Jesucristo. Por eso expresa que: "¡Este es el día que ha hecho el Señor! Nos gozaremos y nos alegraremos en él."

¿Recuerdas el día cuando decidiste entregar tu vida al Señor?

December 19: The best day of your life.
Psalm 117:1-2:
Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 118:14-29:
The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation
is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted;
the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The Lord has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death. Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I will go through them, and I will praise the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord, through which the righteous shall enter. I will praise You, for You have answered me, and have become my salvation. The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. The first Psalm 117 is the shortest in the Bible and appears to be located in the middle of the entire Bible.
But this psalm is not only special because of this data, it is also a psalm that, despite being composed of only two verses, speaks one of the most important truths and revelations of God's plan for humanity. The writer of this psalm was prophesying in the first verse that all nations will worship the Lord.
This is very relevant, especially since the people of Israel were aware of being God's chosen people among all the nations of the world.
This topic is very important in order to understand the whole plan of God with humanity.
The people of Israel knew that they were called by God and chosen in a special way. The Lord continually reminded them through the prophets that God had chosen them, not because they were a great and powerful nation, but because he chose them out of love, even though they were small and weak people. God did it because He wanted to magnify them and bless them above all other nations.
Still we notice that the psalmist saw the other nations, the Gentiles, the non-Jews worshiping God. The apostle Paul used this psalm to teach that salvation and the privilege of entering the presence of God is not only for the Jews, but that God also calls everyone who invokes the name of Jesus, regardless of their nationality or descent. .
We can also read what the apostle John wrote in his gospel about this moment when the door of salvation was opened to the whole world at the moment when Jesus the Messiah came to this world, in John 1:12-13: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
The 118 is a psalm that when you read it you will realize that it is a psalm full of explosions of joy with declarations of gratitude to the Lord.
The psalmist confesses that he went through a difficult time because God made him go through the test to correct him, and he thought that death would come but then God gave him life, made him wiser when he went through the test and gave him a new opportunity to adore Him.
This psalm is very important because it reveals the arrival of the Messiah to the world, He is represented by the main stone of a building, and it is the prophecy that Jesus would be rejected by His people, but would be the key piece for the salvation of the world.
Therefore, everyone who receives the message of salvation and understands that the Savior of the world is Jesus Christ and accepts Him as their Savior and Lord, will keep that day as the most important day in their life because it was when they received forgiveness and eternal life for their soul; it is the moment where the person could understand that the source of blessing is Jesus Christ. That is why the person expresses that: "This is the day that the Lord has made! We will rejoice and be glad in it."

Do you remember the day when you decided to give your life to the Lord?

¡Alaben al SEÑOR, naciones todas! ¡Pueblos todos, alábenle! Porque ha engrandecido sobre nosotros su misericordia, y la verdad del SEÑOR es para siempre. ¡Aleluya!

El SEÑOR es mi fortaleza y mi canción; él es mi salvación. ¡Voz de júbilo y de salvación hay en las moradas de los justos! ¡La diestra del SEÑOR hace proezas! ¡La diestra del SEÑOR está levantada, en alto! ¡La diestra del SEÑOR hace proezas! Pero este salmo no solo es especial por este dato, también es un salmo que, a pesar de estar compuesto por solo dos versos, habla una de las verdades y de las revelaciones más importantes del plan de Dios para la humanidad.
