She also plays recordings of Teresa Gallagher reading Dickinson's poems and play music inspired by Dickinson's poems. Archibald MacLeish reads poetry by Ralph Waldo Emerson, including "Threnody," followed by a performance of Lou Harrison's "Threnody for Carlos Chavez."
