Investigators say the only credible ignition source in a devastating house fire in White House, Tennessee may have been a small solar deck light.
That got my attention. So I bought several similar lights and tore them apart to see how they’re actually built. What I found raised questions about labeling, weather protection, battery management, and product certification.
Many of these lights contain lithium-ion batteries, yet that isn’t always clearly disclosed to consumers.
