Four white people have been arrested in Jackson, Mississippi while breaking into the Metrocenter mall in what looks to be an attempt to steal copper. We take a look back to a story from WLBT on Sept. 30th that claimed the current Metrocenter resident (a movie studio) claimed that Ayran Brotherhood gang members were stealing copper and transporting it to Houston for Mexican drug cartels. I initially called BS on this story, but now I'm questioning my original assumption. Below is the current story from WLBT
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Four people were arrested by the Jackson Police Department for Business Burglary among other crimes.
Jackson Police Department Precinct Two Units responded to 3645 Metro Center Drive regarding a burglary in progress Thursday.
Upon receiving a description of the suspects and the suspect’s vehicle, officers were able to apprehend them on the top-level loading dock.
Suspects forced their way into the building on the lower level of Burlington Department Store.
The vehicle used in the crime was a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado truck with a switch tag.
Located inside the vehicle were guns, burglary tools, and copper wire.
Four suspects were taken into custody and transported to police headquarters to be interviewed.
According to JPD, after the interview, the four suspects were booked into the jail on the following charges:
