This was one of 2023's great, overlooked albums. Nuclear Winter are a one-man project who seem to have attracted very little attention in the western world, but Seagrave rips and we're here to explain why. Tim and Lindsay discuss the evocative musical landscapes, the furious but versatile vocals, and make numerous references to war, Goths and robots. Didn't Go Platinum returns and it's time for a dark operatic masterpiece. This Godless Endeavor is one of the best albums by Seattle's moody melancholic metallers Nevermore, but has largely disappeared from discourse since. Host Tim Bolitho-Jones is joined by Maiden Voyagers presenter Sam Khaneka to revisit this incredible record and the lads go on a big nerdy deep dive.

They wind up discussing (almost) every track, explain their own personal histories with the band and consider why Nevermore's place in the history of metal is so frequently overlooked. There are also forays into intellectual topics such as why Robot Wars is overrated and whether Meshuggah are part-toaster.

Will Marshall returns to the show! He joins regular host Tim Bolitho-Jones to discuss Empire Of Light, by London-based post-hardcore band Devil Sold His Soul. Originally released in 2012, the band's third album is an enthralling slice of ambient post-hardcore and in Will's words, is "a landmark album in a genre that didn't yet exist."

The lads talk about their personal experiences with the band and look at why this incredible album might have got lost in the mix. They also bring up Pixar movies, Tim professes his love for melodic death metal and 'Devil Sold His Soul' gets increasingly difficult to say as the episode goes on.

It's about time we did a power metal episode. Rock Out Stand Out founder Lottie Whittingham joins Tim to discuss To The End, the third full-length from Germany's Orden Ogan. It's a brilliant album, jam-packed with anthemic choruses, big hooks and impressive riffs, but it was all but ignored in the UK when it was released in 2012.

Tim and Lottie do a deep dive into the record and their own personal histories with it. They discuss why they think it's so good, whether it's a rare example of anti-capitalist power metal, and why if you're cold you should just put a jumper on. The central heating isn't going on until November at the earliest.

They also throw in a needless amount of Simpsons references and Tim compares himself to Josh Widdecombe.

One of the most loved bands of the early 2000s, Killswitch Engage are rightly lauded for the groundbreaking Alive Or Just Breathing and the incredibly popular The End Of Heartache, released in 2002 and 2004 respectively.

But their 2019 release Atonement does not get the same level of love. Widely celebrated upon its release, it seems to have been all but forgotten since.
