About Die or Retire
From the publisher's feed
Hello Class! Welcome to Die or Retire: The Random Teacher’s Podcast. I’m your host: THE DoR Random Teacher: Leslie Patteson. Who are the DoR Random teachers? You’re that rare breed of educator…
in that random campus teaching position that only becomes available if someone dies or retires. You’re that OG, veteran educator for whom teaching is so ingrained in their DNA that leaving education is now a “Die or Retire” situation. You’re the rare breed of educator that teaches the elective classes and CTE courses, the non-traditional, late-in-the-game, I-never-thought-I’d-be-a-teacher, teacher, the alternatively certified or the I-don’t-know-from-one-year-to-the-next-what-I’m-teaching teacher; and the extracurricular activity, duties-as-assigned-sponsors. Come with me and my colleagues, former colleagues, teacher besties, subject experts, and all my Jack and Jane-of-all-Subject friends, and our favorite core subject teachers as we discuss everything from band camp to two-a-days, theater budgets to flexible seating, and everything else random in education. This is Die or Retire.
