Die to Live
Have you ever thought that maybe the worst thing that could happen to you… is getting everything you ever wanted?
The perfect body, the latest phone, popularity, freedom to do whatever you want — but losing yourself in the process?
Jesus said something that flips the whole world upside down:
“Whoever loves their life will lose it, but whoever hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” (John 12:25)
You know what that means? If you’re living just for yourself — for your comfort, your goals, your pleasure — you might look like you’re winning now… but you’re losing what matters most.
God didn’t call you to a small, easy, comfortable life. He called you to something bigger, eternal, and real. And that real life only begins when you die — not physically, but to your ego, your pride, your “me first” mindset.
It’s like a seed. It has to be buried, disappear, and “die”… so it can grow into something powerful. You weren’t made to stay pretty on the surface — you were made to bear fruit.
The world says: “Be yourself, chase your dreams, live for now.” Jesus says: “Lose yourself in Me… and I’ll give you a life the world can never touch.”
In the end, what feels like loss today will be victory tomorrow. What seems foolish now will shine in glory later.
The one who lives for themselves will die. But the one who dies for Christ… will live forever.
