In the spirit of the great saints and enthused evangelisers of the past and present, we wil discover the “secret” of evangelisation and the particular ways the St John Community reaches out to people in the city and in the streets.

The Community of St John, began in France in 1975, it is one of the new communities that have sprung up in our times. While monastic, the community has not sought a retired life. They see themselves as a presence among people and are oriented towards engaging with people in an evangelising way. They are “open contemplatives” wishing to share their charism with the society around them.
