Different Does Not Mean Less

One of the most powerful moments from my conversation with Kayden O’Connor on Unshaken Voices was when he explained what it means to be “unapologetically myself.” For Kayden, it means not changing who he is just because someone else does not understand him. It means embracing his uniqueness, refusing to shrink to fit the norm, and recognizing that he was created by God with purpose. His words are a reminder for students, young adults, educators, parents, and anyone who has ever felt different: You don’t have to become someone else to be valuable.
