Right before the holidays, TGOW had the pleasure of interviewing another former boss of mine, Susan Sygall. She is as badass as they come and such a wonderful role model to me. Susan is the CEO and co-founder of Mobility International USA, a wheelchair rider, author, lecturer, and a passionate disability rights activist. She has edited and authored several publications to advance the rights of persons with disabilities around the world. She has received numerous awards and distinctions in recognition of her work, including the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship, an Ashoka Fellowship, a Rotary Scholarship Alumni Award, Jewish Women International’s Women to Watch Award, Kellogg’s Matusak Courageous Leadership Award, the “President’s Award” from the Honorable Bill Clinton and an honorary doctorate from Chapman University. She lives in Eugene, Oregon with her partner, Tom, and her dog, Yumyum.
