If you've ever experienced feeling like the outlier ... the black sheep ... in your family circle, this episode is for you. In otherwise healthy families, there is often one or two members who are different from the rest of the group; without clear and consistent communication, it's easy for those different members to feel excluded and even ignored. Sometimes this is because people don't know how to approach, and sometimes because our own energy keeps people at a distance, because the "difference" causes us pain. After nearly five years doing relationship coaching for women in a variety of settings, I share here my take on how to close the gap, and build relationships that honor who you are without sacrificing the love and support that you deserve.
