Rehoboth was a named because it had wide open spaces. This is the third well dug by Isaac. The first 2 caused fight and contention but this one was different. Water is essential to life. Without it, we will die. One time, Jesus compared His doctrine to water. He stopped at Jacob’s well at about noon time. The Lord was tired and thirsty. Along came a Samaritan woman, and He asked for her to draw water from the well for Him to drink. when God says, “I am the spring of living water” (Jer2:13) He is also saying, “I am the Source of Life. And in Me all the unseen resources of Heaven are there to back you up.”
