It’s a little past mid-October and it’s raining festive offers here in India. We have Diwali, the festival of lights, coming up this week. The last few months had some important festivals as well. As you can imagine, retailers, both online and offline are doing all they can to acquire new customers and maximize sales.

But we have offers going on almost through the year nowadays and e-commerce platforms have been strictly forbidden to offer discounts below minimum operational price (MOP) & comply with FDI regulations.  Has this shift affected the appeal of festive offers for Indians? Are vendors and retailers feeling the pinch? That’s the discussion for today.
