    • DIN regulators screw directly into the tank valve like a light bulb into a socket. The threads create a stronger, more protected connection because the seal happens inside the valve body rather than on the exposed surface.
      • DIN systems can handle nearly 50% more pressure than yoke systems. Yoke maxes out at about 3,000 PSI, while DIN can go up to 4,350 PSI—which matters if you're using certain steel tanks or doing advanced diving with extra-full cylinders.
        • The rubber sealing ring sits in different places on each system, which changes maintenance and durability. On yoke setups, the ring lives on the tank and stays exposed to sand and bumps. On DIN setups, the ring lives on your regulator and gets protected inside the valve when connected.
